As the tagline ‘Once in a Blue Moon’ proclaims, the latest in Hendrick’s customary eccentric repertoire, Lunar Gin – inspired by the “celestial light of the moon” – is part of a limited release of only a year.

A touch of citrus and aromatic scent form an eclectic blend. Floral notes intrigue the palette before a spicy finish.

We share three recipes using this delightful creation that best showcase Hendrick’s latest concoction.

Starry Old Fashioned

50ml Hendrick’s Lunar Gin
1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
7.5ml sugar syrup
1 dash orange bitters
Orange

Stir ingredients together with ice, strain into a tumbler, serve on the rocks and garnish with a twist of orange zest. 

Moonlight Buck 

50ml Hendrick’s Lunar Gin 
150ml Ginger Ale
15ml Lemon juice
Cucumber
Lemon

 

Combine ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice before lightly stirring and serving and garnishing with lemon rounds and a twist of its zest. 

Lunar & Tonic

50ml Hendrick’s Lunar Gin
150ml Tonic Water
Cucumber
Black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice, stir lightly stir and serve. Garnish with cucumber rounds and a scattering of black pepper. 

 

Enjoy whilst looking at the stars, staying in on winter nights or for simply indulging in some “me” time.
